It's not because of the $3,000.00 price tag.

It's because the people who present and teach TM under the auspices of
the TMO today don't, themselves, practise the TM Program. So when they
present it, it doesn't come off as genuine (you know the old
adage "practise what you preach"), this vibe is picked up by the
public and people just don't start because of it.

Were TM teachers actually practising the TM Program themselves, people
would be FLOCKING to us a la Merv Days and gladly paying $3,000.00 per.

Sure, these TM teachers of today are all practising the TM Technique,
but they aren't practicing the TM Program.

What's the difference (as if I have to explain all of this to you!)?

The TM technique is those two periods each day where we sit down and
practice meditation with our mantra as we were taught to. That's the
TM technique.

The TM Program is those two twenty minute periods of restful alertness
balanced by the other 23-plus hours OUTSIDE of meditation where we
engage in activity OF OUR OWN CHOOSING AND ACCORDING TO OUR OWN COMMON
SENSE, TRADITIONS AND CULTURES. The TM Program does NOT constitute a
follow-the-guru course of action where we give up our faculties of
reason and our culture and our traditions and anyone doing that is
NOT -- I repeat NOT -- a participant in the TM Program.

And that's why no one is starting TM today.
