One of the main reasons for the intense storm; is the warmer than usual water in the gulf. And also, a build up of heat in the middle of the country, and the east, and the southwest.
It's nature's way of balancing the heat of the water and the heat of the land, and the pollution of the atmosphere... Whether or not, we judge the people who are suffering; that it is due to their sins or all of our 'collective sins' is irrelevant. What is relevant, is the lack of preparedness, of the government to this impending crisis; And the seeming abandonment of the poorest in New Orleans.
