There were 6500 LANG available. About 3800 were deployed by Monday. DOn't know when and if the rest were deployed. Its conceivablethat they were just back from Iraq, and I don't know the logistics of deploying combat troops for law enforcement and so on without debriefing.Imagine sending a bunch of kids who were just back from being shot at every day into a disaster area where a few looters were taking potshots...
