BTW, I'll bet a buck CDC also says you should always take the full amount of antibiotic prescribed, even if you're feeling better. That's because you want to kill off *all* the bacteria. If you only kill some of them, it can mean that the ones that survive are more resistant to the antibiotic, and when they revive the infection, you may have to take a stronger antibiotic, or more of it, or for a longer period, to get rid of the resistant ones too.
