Yes, that sounds correct. I am sketchy on the details. Like I said, it was just a low level joke. Not an intended slur on Chopra, though that may have been the result. But there is a pattern, a "if there is smoke .." sort of thing in my mind. I have read accounts of Chopra using a very heavy handed lawyer to clamp down on any bad PR. Seeking truth was not the issue, was my impression. Rather it was to such down "the story". That may or may not have applied to the credit card story. And the sexual harrassement cases at his center in La Jolla. But there were also a number of stories in the local San Diego papers on Chopra's management style and business practices -- sourced from former employees -- that raised eyebrows. Maybe all false. But in my mind, there is a pattern. And the hard-hitting lawyer appears to be fact -- if transcripts of conversations are to believed. Anyway, there is smoke coming from a number of directions. No actual fires? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I am open, but for me, the jury is still out as to whether all is pure and pristine in Chopra land. But I like the guy's lectures, and some of his books. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
