And their prices are rising at greater than inflation. On Thom 
Hartmann's forum we've been discussing the federal minimum wage (very 
fragmented as liberals can be as bad as conservatives discussing things) 
and that raising it to $10+ will increase the price of a Big Mac 68 
cents to almost $5. If Starbucks increased their prices 68 cents then 
that would be it for me. No more Starbucks. This country is so fucked up.

My argument on Hartmann's forum is that our cost of living is 
unreasonably high. If they increase the minimum wage to that so that 
McDonalds workers get a decent wage in New York then the folks in the 
boonies where housing is a 1/3 or less of NYC will make out like bandits 
on the minimum wage. Maybe it's time we just pay everyone the same 
hourly wage. :-D
