Hey Rory! No biggee - Perhaps it is a difference in lifestyle. I live in a very active suburban/urban environment, and may at the drop of a hat, be walking along the streets in San Francisco, or in any of the myriad other communities around here.
I also did a lot of teaching and managing during my career, meaning that if someone didn't understand what I said the first time, I had to invent many other ways, of saying the same thing. So if people are put off by the language you are using (wavicles and particles, for example), perhaps find another way to say the same thing. And don't let the assholes get to you!
