Ann, if someone is obsessing on someone else, or constantly being triggered by someone else, then I'd say that person is demonizing that someone else, projecting all their own negativity onto that someone else. Otherwise, the person would simply address the issue as it happens and or ignore that someone else. But obsession IMO is a sure sign that projection is happening.
