Even in Message View (for whatever reason, most of the time I still get
the old interface), I've noticed a tendency to dump on people like
Salyavin for giving up on FFL. I think those who are doing this are
missing something...like the *other* reasons to give up on FFL.

Neo's just "the last straw" in the pile of shit for me. The others have
been provided by the example these last three weeks of what Fairfield
Life is and will probably continue to be now that the posting limits
seem to be a thing of the past. I don't know about anyone else, but it's
been obvious to me that the already-low standards of the joint got
significantly lower overnight. Hoping against hope, I continued to scan
the posts looking for something -- anything -- to reply to that isn't
"Isn't our clique great" backslapping or "Aren't the non-members of our
clique terrible" ad hominems, or the same old tired,
run-into-the-ground-years-ago TM/not-TM arguments.

Given these trends, I foresee a *lot* of people bailing from FFL soon,
and *not* just because of Neo. In my case, given what I've seen of Neo
so far here in France, it would be a done deal, because the only version
of Neo presented to me so far has been completely lacking "Reply"
buttons. They just aren't there, whether I'm logged in to Yahoo or not,
rendering it effectively a read-only forum. Please no one tell me to
switch over to email -- the only thing that makes FFL tolerable for me
at present is *not* having to open each message, and being able to get a
feel for them from a quick overview in Message View.

But that's possibly just me. You already know the low opinion I have of
this place and the petty grudge-holders who dominate it. What do others
think? IS there anything about Fairfield Life that makes it worth the
effort of dealing with Neo to read it?

If so, make your case, but do so using EXAMPLES. Please point to the
posts made since the start of this Unlimited Posting Experiment that you
think represent high-quality, intelligent conversation, and that you
feel reflect well on people who have spent most of their lifetimes
pursuing a "spiritual" path. No generalities, please...cite the exact
posts you feel are good, and good enough to warrant continued
participation in this forum.
