dear not really indifferent, much of my thinking about this topic is based on knowing Rick in person. I think he's quite intelligent and impervious to self delusion so I choose to trust his input. About Amma and Gail I will never know the *facts* via my own direct observations so I rely on the observations of others I have found trustworthy. All the while knowing that I might be wrong.
That's the thing I think. At any moment we might be wrong. All we can do is our best in any moment. If we're wrong, life will straighten us out one way or the other.
