In other words, there's no evidence that reasonable dosing with antioxidants during chemo is harmful, and while MAK's
antioxidant
effects are quite powerful, side-effects are virtually unknown
for
most people at the recommended dose of 1 heaping teaspoons
twice a
day.
Hey, do what you want, it's your life. You seem already sold, I
don't
think anything anyone says is going to change your mind.
We were pretty happy that we could put 95% of people into
remission.
It was a known counter-effect to the mechamism we were using--it
was
not chemotherapy but a new method.
So you're saying that antioxidants are a counter-effect to
your "new
ethod..." Does this mean that oranges and apples are out also?
What
about grape juice?
No, not at all--you either don't get it or don't want to.
Er, so what specifically about MAK or other antioxidants (as opposed to "natural" sources like oranges) are an issue?
It's extremely powerful free radical scavenger. I think the TM literature points this out and it is also echoed in Indian research as well. I am surprised that you would not already know this.
You keep mentioning amla (sp) aka indian gooseberry as though it is particularly offensive, but its a natural source of vitamin C. So what is it about the ingredients of MAK that you have a problem with? Scientists have been wondering what it is about amla that does make it so powerful for some time. The most recent suggestion I heard was that there were bound tannins that not only helped render it somewhat heat stable, but also very good as an antioxidant. Of course any plant material isn't going to be just one simple active ingredient, but also hundred of accessory chemicals.
