The Texan got a bad, possibly illegal pump from the Wisconsin jockey, which may have cost him a few strides. It's a two man race now, but New Yorker is just pouring it on. And in the show position it looks like a race between South Carolinian and the BC philly. Those two have tangled before, and just earlier this week, there were some sharp barbs exchanged. The smart money is giving the edge to the philly. She has shown she has the stuff to put away challengers with quick dispatch. But we still have just under a third of the race to go. We know anything could still happen. The track is still buzzing about the expected reemergence of authorsfriend and whether she will be her old self. Track authorities are also concerned about the rumor of a confab taking place out of country among like minded individuals. Possibly in Amsterdam.
