oops, illegal "bump"

An "illegal dump" is when a debating opponent uses the /ad hominem,/ - the second to last resort of someone who is losing a debate and is unable to respond with legitimacy. The last resort, /most difficult for the ego/, is to consider that he might be wrong.

I'll get it right one of these days. (-;

All you have to do is be able to count to 50 - anything over that is considered /"over-posting"/ on FFL, if the intent of the owner is to maintain a chat-room. If he wants to have a discussion group, the number of words posted to FFL in a single day would indicate to most casual readers that this is a group of deaf and dumb retards with OCD. In a normal discussion, you don't get people that just sit silently for days and even weeks - then barge in with an insult, overturn a table, and then stomp out.

Serious respondents keep up with the conversation and don't just sit in the corner of a cafe posting to Facebook in all CAPS or talking on their iPhone 4 and ignore everyone else in the debate. That's considered to be rude on discussion forums - /indicating a newbie nerd./ If you don't want to dance, why did you come to the dance party?

and it's Dannyboy in the lead pulling away. He's ahead 3 furlongs, and appears to be gaining momentum.

The Texan got a bad, possibly illegal pump from the Wisconsin jockey, which may have cost him a few strides.

It's a two man race now, but New Yorker is just pouring it on.

And in the show position it looks like a race between South Carolinian and the BC philly. Those two have tangled before, and just earlier this week, there were some sharp barbs exchanged.

The smart money is giving the edge to the philly. She has shown she has the stuff to put away challengers with quick dispatch.

But we still have just under a third of the race to go. We know anything could still happen.

The track is still buzzing about the expected reemergence of authorsfriend and whether she will be her old self.

Track authorities are also concerned about the rumor of a confab taking place out of country among like minded individuals. Possibly in Amsterdam.

More, as reports come in.

New York Dan takes a significant lead around the last bend towards the home stretch. Can the Texas bred colt gain the ground he needs to make up a furlong?
