Dear Missing: Quoting headlines will not add anything to your diminished credibility. You were doing better with Wikipedia. Try to find out something that is true. That is something done on your own. Not on a computer. Dear NY Dan, MJ, aka Missing, is a literalist and expects the world to follow suit. He figures if he fell for the most unsophisticated implication or meaning of a thing then all of us followed suit. He is still smarting from his run in with the asshats who were in charge at MIU back when he was sweating in the kitchens there. And although I can empathize, indeed, I have empathized many times with his predicament because I was the student who (if I had been attending at the time MJ was) would have been filling my greedy face with his baked delicacies and then waddling my fat ass back to the dorm oblivious of his torment, I still find his harping on these superficial indicators of the failings of the ME to be tedious. I trust that your observance of Rosh Hashana is proceeding nicely. My niece, who married an Israeli and lives in Brooklyn and who converted to Judaism is, I'm sure, also observing this holiday as well.
