But some Americans also have a since of humor and can laugh at perceived traits of other nations as well as their own, whether it is German authoritarianism, French cowardice, British properness or Yankee ingenuity. Of course if one is stuck in political correctness he's not supposed to laugh at all because that doesn't show proper empathy for the worlds poor and suffering. The world is as you are.
