Wouldn't the truer response be: who only visited his meditation teacher after his kids wanted to see this person, many years later? Of course it's hard to grok the context of these comments--he could have been grinning from ear to ear when he said this. It sounds to me as if it was just a family fun day. > Now go and find another statement of respect and reverence about a > guru from someone who followed the guru in the 1960's and is still > visiting their guru in the 21st century. There would be thousands, maybe millions of such quotes! > You won't be able to find > one, because there are very few for whom the teachings are as > consistently effective over many decades. There are teachings consistent over centuries and not dying after just a few decades (e.g. TM/TMSP). > McCartney, Harrison (who > VISTED VLODROP in the late 1990's), But did he visit Mahesh? Well, again, an exaggeration. I understand you have a big emotional investment in this. He actually took his kids on their request. Before that, he had never visited his meditation teacher. One wonders if the kids hadn't begged him, would he have ever bothered? My guess is he would not of. ------------------------ Yahoo!
