Thx...MMY stopped the BG after chapter 6, since some of the later chapters are
devoted to Krishna as a Personality. MMY deliberately has chosen those "Vedic"
texts to be in concert with his plan to cull out any taint of devotion to the
"Deities". If such devotional elements crept into the teachings of the TMO,
they would have a more difficult time in equating what they offer to the
"quantum" blah blah.

. 1. That is, Pure Consciousness is the ultimate basis of Reality
. 2. The goal of life is the realize the Self (i.e. Being)
.3. TM is a technique designed to assist people in realizing that objective
as quickly as possible: the "jumbo jet to Bliss"
. 4. The practice of TM will bring fulfillment to all areas of one's life.
. 5. Deity worship is useless and counterproductive since it doesn't fit in
well with MMY's attempt to formulate
Pure Consciousness and TM into a framework of Western modern science,
especially quantum physics.
.6. Pure Consciousnes can be equated to an Infinite Field, the concept being
attractive to physicists who use the same type of jargon, even though PC is not
a "field" in the same sense as that used by physicists..
.7. MMY's plan from the beginning was to separate out TM as a technique from
the fundamental matrix or origin from which it is derived:: The Vedas and
Upanishads. However, Chapters 7 and beyond of the BG are definitely "out", as
well as most of the Puranic literature such as the Srimad Bhagavatam. OTOH,
strictly impersonalist Scriptures such as the Brahma Sutras are welcomed since
the main topic is Pure Consciousness.
  .8. etc, etc....
