Ollie, it's liberals that keep coming up with entitlement programs,
knowing full well that conservatives aren't going to raise the taxes needed to
implement them. Liberals are very generous with other people's money. The only
people screwing the poor are the liberals that keep promising them something
for nothing, except their VOTE. It's called *redistribution of wealth* or
socialism. No country becomes prosperous doing that. Some may maintain for a
while but they don't generally grow their economies enough to keep up with
demand.Saw this recently :
You can not legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out
of prosperity.What one person receives without working for, another person must
work for without receiving.The government can not give to anybody anything that
that the government does not first take from somebody else.You can not multiply
wealth by dividing it.When half of the people get the idea that they do not
have to work because the other half is going to take care of them;and when the
other half gets the idea it does no good to work because somebody else is going
to get what they worked for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

the funny thing is, Mike, that many of the big card carrying conservatives
have no problem not paying their taxes and going for as many corporate welfare
and entitlement programs as possible - the pure takers in this country, the
anti-patriots, always running down the President and the government, out to get
their own, screwing the poor, all the while trumpeting hypocritically about
paying their fair share. Do you know why this country is swimming in debt? It
is all the "conservatives" spending the government's money, without
contributing their taxes, and lying about it.
"Liberal" is a word they have co-opted to appear more self-righteous than ever,
with their greedy little hands in the government trough like those they
criticize. Please don't tell me you have fallen for their schtick??? The dry
drunk, Pappa Reagan, got the party started. After he was elected President,
paid about $200,000 per year, and treated like an emperor, the little shit
begins preaching about the wasteful government and all the welfare fraud. He
should have been kicked to the curb at that point - a vicious and stupid little
man, who had no business getting even a nickel from the government he
frequently trashed.

He's too liberal for me to vote for, unless it's between him and Bernsie or
Hillary. Too many *New York values*. I do think he would get people working

I like Rubio but question where he really stands on illegal immigration. Being
involved with the Gang of Eight gives me reservations.
I do like Cruz though.I can't say that I agree with him completely on
everything but his record has been that he has stood by everything that he
said he would do when he campaigned for his Senate seat and he;s not afraid to
get in the face of his own party leaders. He's a strict constitutionalist and
has argued successfully, many cases before the Supreme Court and is a great
debater. I think a Cruz/Rubio ticket might be hard to beat. Wonder what Castro
would think about that.
I do admire Castro and, of course, Che. Are you rolling around again?
