Among the candidates for "true" Christianity (the notion that Jesus taught a body of beliefs/practices to an inner circle and that Paulist teachings do not reflect those truths; are a. Merkabah Mysticism and b. Gnosticism ...However, aside from "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you", the Gnostic viewpoint imo doesn't have much to go on. An alternative perspective is presented by Dr. Lewis Keizer in his series of videos involving "Pre-Christian Teachings of Yeshua" (Leizer is a proponent of Merkabah Mysticism).
