Let's face it, there were
worse mass shootings
of Native Americans
as well as mass
killings of soldiers
on both the
Confederate and Yankee sides
during the Civil War.
Shootings during military
operations are
considered to be in
a different category
than shootings by
civilians.
Too bad because genocide
or mass deaths on
American soil are
still atrocities and
count, in my book.
When the headlines
scream, "Worst mass shooting
in the history of America"
I just look at it as
sensationalism and
still think of all
those others who
were gunned down in
the name of some cause or
another.
For example: The Massacre at
Wounded Knee and this

as well. So, let's
just keep it all in
perspective and realize
a hell of a lot of blood has
been shed on American soil
for a whole lot of
reasons by a whole lot
of people. Today was
not "the worst" but
one of many.
