These are the first African American drum lines I've ever seen. (Well, started only recently searching drum lines on Youtube.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FObzExMpOc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FObzExMpOc I'd say, in physics terminology, mainly Caucasian or non-African drum lines are classical, whereas African ones seem rather to be quantum mechanical: there appears to be slight flam between the drums almost all the time, "corresponding" HUP? Thus the groove, or whatever, is IMHO way more interesting in the African style.
