The price of TM, over 2 years, is only $3.29 a day. Anyone, from the lower middle class to upper classes in the US, who has the will to, can afford TM.
When I first wanted to learn about yogic knowledge, I was ready to give up everything and travel to India to find what I was looking for, at great risk to myself and my future. Now TNB's are now proclaiming to the people of the world that they should not give up their cafe-lattes for Vedic knowledge? This incredibly selfish, since you have already had the benefit of the knowledge. You have forgotten how incredibly helpful it can be to people in times of extreme stress. Many people in the world have nothing to absorb the stress which pushes down upon them everyday. As a beneficiary of a practice that you can practice any day, anywhere, even in a prison, and find relief - if you have any conscience at all, you should be telling as many people as you can that TM only costs $3.30 a day for 2 years ! Especially because with the money each Westerner that pays to learn, you can probably teach 500-1,000 people in India or somewhere. People here are just too US-Centric minded. If you convince only one person a year in the US to learn TM, and that it is only $3.30 a day for 2 years, you have helped hundreds, maybe thousands, to learn in the world as a whole, thus generating a global consciousness rise and contributing greatly to world peace. So TM'rs or anyone who still think that TM is good thing should be happy to be telling as many people as possible that it is only $3.30 a day for 2 years. Anyone, from the lower middle class to upper classes in the US, who has the will to, can afford TM. Most people can find half of it if they really want to. They could raise half and take out a small loan from a friend or elsewhere for the other half, then just pay it back at $1.75 a day for two years. (also they could probably get it for some work-study time at MUM.) It would be so easy for most people in the US to learn TM with a bit of creativity and a vaguely strong desire.
