Based on the salaries paid to a number of friends of mine who were high-ranking scientists at the National Laboratories in Los Alamos and at the Santa Fe Institute, it's a great deal *more* than he would've been making as a scientist. And scientists don't get credit cards or expense accounts. All in all -- money, expenses, and hot-and-cold-running babes -- it doesn't sound as if he had to deliberate too long about whether to be a scientist or a schill. ------------------------ Yahoo!
