Our daughter had a bowel movement just prior to birth. We went from one or two assistants in the hospital delivery room to 8 or 9. Everything went okay, but we were glad to have the help and I'm sure it made a difference. I guess if people opt for the in home setting, or some place more "natural", and a complication like this comes up, it could be quite scary. We took a non interventionist, yet fairly standard hospital delivery scenario. I question what really is gained from some of the "new age" birth methods. lurk > ------------------------ Yahoo!
