TorquoiseB writes; snipped I wouldn't say that AnonAkaskaMoose was *really* comparing you to the TM "holy tradition," Jim. What he was doing was using "tradition" the way it's *always* been used through- out history. "Tradition" is that thing that people who have been practicing a set of spiritual techniques for years without having any terribly interesting experiences or results trot out to explain why they stick with a set of techniques that have never produced what they claimed. You repeat the word "tradition" over and over to yourself to make you feel better about having invested so much time and money in something that hasn't paid off on its promises.
Tom T: One of FF's longest and most ardent seekers showed up for the Wednesday night Satsang and finally got what he had been most ardently seeking for many decades. As the realization sunk in deeper he shouted "I want all my money back", referring to all the money spent on innumberable TMO courses and techniques. THis was a most intersting confirmation that he had finally grocked that he had always been what he was seeking and that he had know this understanding for over 25 years and had overlooked that which was too obvious. His and everyone elses laughter in the room was so satisfying that all giggled the rest of the evening. Go Figure. Enjoy Tom T ------------------------ Yahoo!
