I'm not so much complaining about the past as
interested in what seems to work well in the
world of spiritual practice and what does not.
At this point in my life I'm a generalist, not
involved with any particular practice or tra-
dition or group. I like to analyze all of them
that I stumble across, and see whose practices
seem to work well and whose seem to work not
as well. As a generalist speaking generally :-),
I'm not a fan of "knowledge" that is presented
to the seeker as if it's "Truth" and a perfect
description of How Things Work, knowledge that
then has to be discarded and thrown away to go
further. Better to tell the seeker the real
truth at the outset, even if it is, "There is
no answer to your question, there is no accurate
description of the thing you're asking about," etc.

I think that many of the things that are
commonly accepted do not, and in fact lead
those who practice them down long, unnecessary
paths that don't lead to realization.
