Chopra thought that it would have something to do with sales.

This took place around the time of Quantum Healing and Perfect Health 
I think. Chopra didn't have a non-fiction book on the market during 
that time, IIRC. 

Also, we never made it to the NYT bestsellers list using that 
strategy I believe, only to the lesser bestsellers lists. However, 
that was enough to encourage the publishers themselves to devote more 
resources to promoting Chopra's books.
