Yeah, but there is a difference between saying something is a waste 
of time, and being realistic enough to take advantage of the reality 
that is there. He didn't appear to be condemning it, just stating 
reality. 

Sort of like if I thought purchasing a Ferrari was a waste of time, 
but then if I found myself stranded beside the road, and a Ferrari 
pulled up and offered me a ride, taking it.
