It's a lot like discussing one's spiritual experiences. When the subject comes up, some people just say what their experiences have been and don't make a big deal about the experiences one way or another. Others get all huffy and go out of their way to point out that they don't talk about their experiences on principle, just *SO* they can imply that they'd actually *HAD* a few such experiences. Similarly, when it comes to photos, some people just post them and others make a big deal about *not* posting them.
