The sun is not going to come up in another direction even if the magnetic poles undergo one of their periodic shifts, and nobody knows when that is going to happen, although there are some interesting changes going on in the earth's mag field: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3359555.stm The two OK directions in SthapathyaVed are east-facing and north- facing, but east is the best, and you will find all the new TMO bldgs to be east-facing, so there would be no impact from a shift in polarity, although there would certainly be a problem if the earth was to screech to a halt and start spinning in the opposite direction -- check with the Las Vegas oddsmakers on this bet, I'm sure they would be glad to take your money...tell 'em kalki sent ya.
