But Mahesh doesn't need any names at all really - a Maharishi dwarfs any epithets given to most others. But I suspect that the reason Mahesh isn't a Saraswati is that a person has to join the recluse order founded by Shankaracharya before the surname Saraswati is used. Mahesh didn't want to join the Order - Swamis suffer, Yogis enjoy.
