Barry to Vaj on alt.m.t awhile back: I'm just trying to point out that you're putting a great deal of FAITH in what you were *told* by a tradition or traditions you respect, or that appear in scriptures that these traditions revere and respect. This is still FAITH, no matter how much you attempt to call it fact. "It's true because my teacher said it's true" or "It's true because my scripture says it's true" is just as sus- pect and just as much a matter of FAITH when applied to your tradition as it is when applied to TM. Or when applied to Bible thumpers. Or anything else. That's all I'm saying...an appeal to scripture or "experts" is an attempt to play a spiritual trump card, but you're really dealing a card from the bottom of a deck that comes in a box labeled "FAITH." ------------------------ Yahoo!
