I've seen several. But the most impressive was in the
Fall of '73 when I was attending the University of New
Hampshire in Durham, NH. I was riding my bike back
home after a class in the evening and as I turned
down my street I saw a round orange disk in the sky. I
got rather excited because I knew there had been
several UFO sightings in that general area over the
past decade. I watched it for about 5 minutes as it
moved around getting slightly smaller, then larger.
Suddenly it darted around in a small area very quickly
and then just shot away at an incredible rate of
speed. The next day it was in the paper because
several hundred people had seen it. The funniest part
was how a UNH professor was claiming that what
everybody saw was venus, unusually low in the horizon!
Ahh, I know venus and that certainly wasn't venus.
