For those who might still be daydreaming or having
difficulties with reading comprehension, you will
notice that I never said gerbal said "checker." 
Rather, I clarified when the question *is* asked
for those who might have misinterpreted "the person
verifying the correctness of our meditatio[n]" to
refer to a checker (of whom that phrase is also a
very precise description).

(I don't recall the question being asked on the
day of initiation, but it's possible I've forgotten.)

I also pointed out that while the question may be
asked during the three days of checking--usually
the first day--it's asked only if one of the new
meditators hasn't already reported such an experience.

That's because the point is not to verify the
"correctness of our meditation," since that
experience is not the criterion of correct
meditation; the point is to *explain* such an
experience.
