Thanks for your perspective. I hung out with Ravi (the name he used then) in India on the Vedic Science course a bit. He was a very charming guy and very interested in interacting with Westerners. I noticed that he was the only brahmachari around MMY who wore a silk doti. I remember MMY running him around a bit with the phrase "have Ravi do it". I could tell there was something going on with him, he confided that he was a little sick of being a run-around guy for MMY. He seemed very opened, engaging and charismatic. It didn't surprise me when I later learned that he had struck out on his own. I can easily see his appeal for someone on a spiritual path.
