Delusional Diversions I am guessing you feel your argument is actually valid, and not just a witty retreat and diversion. (Which if it is, kudos, it is ballsy and witty.)
By definition, strictly speakin, NO logical fallacy is part of a logical argument since a logical fallacy is illogical. Strictly speaking, how can non-logic be part of a logical argument? However, YOU DIMWIT! (an example of an Ad Honimen fallacy) How many Ad Honimens are clearly intended, strictly speaking, to be "part" of a logical argument? Rarely is a logical case made to establish "DIMWITEDNESS" (or whatever the slur.). Its an emotional attack, part of the overall effort to discredit the presenter of the argument under attack [to you]. That no logical fallacy is logical, by definition, and thus cannot strictly speaking, be part of a logical argument: perhaps, if this is your train of argument, aka diversionary ploy, IMO, let me strike the term "logical" and rephrase something more digestable and understandable. "Go take your medication now, please." How many FALLACIES are stacked into that little gem of an attack? Ad Hominem and Burden Of Proof of course. But more subtly, Non Sequitur and False Premise:-- it does not follow that medication -- even if it were something Shemp was prescibed to take, would geatly effect his logic. As opposed to "meds" that some take for the hallucinations. Red Herring -- diverts the discussion off topic Guilt By Association -- [presciption] drug takers -- clearly not people to be trusted Appeal to Fear -- [prescription]drug takes say scary things -- and are not people one would want to hang ot around Slippery Slope -- if Shemp has forgot his meds, have you forgotten to have your ECT? Argumentum Ad Nauseum -- you repeat it so often To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!' Yahoo!
