I believe it was the Bushies who kept warning that
Saddam was planning to use gas and chemicals against
American troops.
There wasn't a lot of argument about invading Afghanistan. Sentiment was very strong just weeks after 911. But there were a few that did. Yes everybody was concerned about the use of WMD's on invading troops in Iraq but many especially in the media kept saying 50,000 troops would die taking Baghdad. Seems one of them was Sam Donaldson, not sure about that though.
