I think you need to re-read the post. You're not getting it. You have millions of slaves in your country that are forced to come here because of US government subsidies for US farmers...money that US goverment gaines in large part by by tax revenue from arms sales around the world . Arms sales for the US (and Britain) is probably one of the biggest businesses for the US, and it is expedient for the US economy that there is always a conflict or two somewhere. The US government subsidises farms in the US, almost all of which would be bankrupt without these subsidies , so the Mexican farmer cannot possibly compete as a farmer, so he cannot employ any farm workers (even though the land is can grow many produce commodoties), so the Mexican workers go to where they can get some work of sorts...they go to the US, where they are used as slaves to prop up the US economy and without which the US economy would flounder, even with the arms sales, and the goverment would be kicked out on their asses by the people (same in Europe by the way). So how can you go around saying there is no poverty in US when there are millions of slaves, and a US government farm policy that promotes and bolsters that situation and uses tax dollars to do it.
