I don't know what history book you studied, Robert, but the lesson from WWII was that you DON'T appease agression. If war had been waged against Germany much earlier than it was -- say, when Churchill said we should be stopping this madman -- 10s of millions of lives would have been saved. Remember: WWI was supposed to be the war that ended all war. It was so horrible that people wanted to say and do anything to avoid another one...kinda like today. There's something to be said about stopping agressors who say quite plainly exactly what it is they want to do. Hitler told us in Mein Kampf and the president of Iran is telling us also. Why shouldn't we take him at his word? > and that we must evolve away from war > as a solution to anything. > But, if we still have leaders(who are reflecting the collective > consciousness of the people), > Like G.W. and the dude in Iran, then you have rhetoric, that is framed > in war-mentality; or whatever you want to call it; > And after we've invaded Iraq, and all the rest; > We have little moral ground to stand on. > Therefore if we don't start to seriously evolve our way; > Out of war-mentality; > We are all in serious trouble: > Because there are so many issues on our planet; > Which are being ignored in the meantime; > While these issues of war suck the life out of everything. > Literally... > R.G. > To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
