Of course payback gives it an extra charge for Democrats, but it's much more than just payback. I really don't want the essential point to get lost: The Foleygate scandal--the way the Republican leadership dealt with and is still dealing with the problem of a sexual predator in Congress--is not self-contained and does not exist in a vacuum. Foleygate is symptomatic of Republican unwillingness *across the board* to be accountable.
