I strongly disagree with this guys characterization. I was at the full Mallorca I course -- 6 months+ -- the year before this guy's course -- where we did "more" rounding. And I was at Fuiggi, the next year. While there were some people who OD'ed, it was hardly a common thing. Of the small group of full six-monthers on my course -- about 60 of us or so, I don't recall anyone who flipped out or required special care. No one was runnning down the hall screaming.
At Fuiggi, it was much bigger 2000 people as I recall, and very decentrailized. People all over town in small hotels. Lots more interaction in and with the town. Pastatio gillato on the piazza anyone? Lots more people "off the program" -- running off to Florence afer doing 16 hours of round the day before, or banging the girl next door until dawn. I think the deep rouding then running around town maybe did shake some people up more. But it was still a fairlry rare thing for people to flip out. Maybe 1%? 20 people got heavy drugs (throzin -- the LSD trip calmer) from Dr. Elliot, as I recall. Not 2000 people running down the hall screaming. --- In [email protected], Rick Archer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > A taste of what long rounding used to be like, from a friend: > > I went home and signed up for the course in Humbolt later that summer -- > 6-8 hours a day with Maharishi.
