Oh, they do. I’m not saying all the money is misappropriated. Perhaps 40% (a generous estimate) is spent on legitimate projects. If this were not done it would be impossible to keep the game going. But of course many of these projects are ill-conceived or mismanaged, so a large percentage of that amount is squandered. I don’t know the geography of the area, but building an ashram in “the midst of a nightmarish heat and dustbowl environment” probably is an _expression_ of the same quality of judgment behind the Smith Center, Kansas fiasco.
C'mon Rick. What do you think?
If you were a multi-millionaire in India, would you buy land in the
middle of the country, in a god-forsaken place and build an Ashram
there in the midst of a nightmarish heat and dustbowl environment?
I am afraid that no-one with tons of money, in their right mind, would
build such a white elephant in the hell's kitchen of India. And yet
earlier when the pics of that Ashram were posted (can someone post
them again please?) I believe you claimed that that is what the family
had done with their money !
ROFL !.....if they were the evil thiefs you claim they are, I am sure
they could find something more exotic to spend their money on.
