Hear hear. I've never understood (except as indoctrination)
the idea that when dealing with a spiritual teacher one is
not allowed to believe negative things about him or her,
*along with* gratitude for what he or she has taught us.
Most of us love our parents, right? But at the same time,
we're aware of the ways in which they were far from perfect.
For a balanced individual, learning something negative about
a person we feel gratitude towards does not decrease the
gratitude, it merely expands our understanding.
