...and we're talking about the poor of which country? The US? Where all the alleged "poor" people have money for fast food, television sets, Nike Super Sneakers, cigarettes, and beer? Those poor? The poor that would be the envy of the real poor of every third world nation on the face of the planet? The poor of the US where the federal government spends $190 billion a year on Medicaid (which pays for the medical care of the poor) and which is matched dollar for dollar by the states...for a total of $380 billion? ...which is an amount that is double the entire budget of the Government of Canada...
