Does the phrase "doing ONE OF the Buddhist meditation techniques" not imply
that there
is more than one technique?

IT is interesting to note that there was NO observed difference in alpha EEG
coherence
between meditators and controls in the Buddhist study. That's an accumulative
effect from
TM. Obviousy. a technique with TM-like effects had not been regularly
practiced by any of
the Buddhist meditators studied.

Another obvious difference is that "mastery" of TM as demonstrated by
during-technique
effects comes within a few months. Not-so with the Buddhist mediators. Again,
no idea
what any of this MEANS, but it certainly shows that one can't generalize the
effects of
meditation techniques.
