He said that before he found out the truth, which Madge will hardly 
let on being such a canny media manipulator herself.

But then I've never liked her and her tireless/tiring attempts to 
shock and her constant "reinventions" most recently as part of the 
English landed gentry, charging rich arse-lickers a fortune to join 
pheasant shooting parties on their estate, and don't get me started 
on her music or her talentless husbands movies. From an African 
village to that, poor little sod.
