While not addressing your question specifically, I remember MMY saying
 just before the attack in Iraq, that even if there is a war, it will
be short and the LAST war on earth. That this "war" was actually a
huge positive sign of HoE in that it was not the effort of one nation,
but a collective effort of 100+ nations to resist highly negative forces.

What happened over the next 15 years clearly contradict this vision.
Perhaps other huge unseen negative factors entered the scene. Or
perhaps the vison was only hopeful, not a true and valid detailed view
of the future.
