This applies more to Peter in this case than
it does to Lawson.

Actually, I more or less agree with Lawson on
this, in that what Peter described sure doesn't
*sound* like TM's transcendental consciousness.
And that's based on my experience of TM, not on
TM "dogma."

But for Peter to claim Lawson was saying TM is
the only way to achieve transcendental
consciousness is just so far off target it's
mind-boggling.  It's ready, shoot, don't even
bother about the aiming part.

Same with Barry claiming Lawson was trying to
excuse the TMO's making changes in the WaPo
article by resorting to the "Yeah, but they
do it too" argument.  Barry is well aware
that Lawson has been beating up on Chopra for
years for rewriting his books.  He doesn't
excuse Chopra, so how could he possibly be
using Chopra to excuse the TMO?

We all know Barry gets stupid when he's
overcome by his compulsion to put down TMers.
It's just very odd to see Peter doing the
same thing.
