Ghost 10 is now Windows based, thanks largely to the DriveImage technology Symantec acquired when it bought PowerQuest in 2003.
For years Symantec's Norton Ghost's technology lagged behind the rival Drive Image. That's because Norton Ghost was a DOS-based utility, until Version 10, which now has transformed Ghost into a general- purpose backup solution, clearly surpassing Acronis True Image 9.
