> If these do come through, would not these low-income housing grants > have to be provided for anyone, not just TMers? > ********* Absolutely, but there would be little demand for housing from Fairfield townies in Vedic City, when there is plenty of low-income housing in Fairfield (the waiting list to get into such housing is very short, compared to the long, long wait times, often in the 5-10 year range, in big cities). Maybe 20-50 non-meditators, tops, but I think that's too high. One problem might be that child molesters and other sex offenders, who are barred under Iowa law from living in most places in Fairfield because of their proximity to schools, would be housed in VC public housing, but that's a very small number, maybe two or three individuals.
